Rejuvenate and Tighten Your Skin with Scarlet Fractional RF Microneedling

Scarlet Radio Frequency is the safest and most effective microneedling treatment available. And it’s the most technologically advanced anti-aging treatment you’ll find.

Scarlet RF will help your skin look younger and more vibrant. No skin-tightening treatment effectively eliminates wrinkles and fine lines, especially for the skin around your eyes, cheeks, and mouth like Scarlet RF does. RF microneedling also reduces the visibility of stretch marks, large pores, and acne scars.

How it Works

The Scarlet RF method uses tiny needles, which our doctor gently inserts into your skin. Then, we can deliver RF energy safely and precisely to the deep under layers of your skin. You’ll get a significant boost in your collagen production, which will give you younger and firmer-looking skin.

The Scarlet RF microneedling device holds from 10 to 25 microscopic needle tips, connected to the end of a headpiece. The tips make tiny punctures in your skin at various depths.

With RF microneedling, there’s an extremely low risk of burning or overheating. Most of the energy can connect with collagen fibers deep within your skin’s support system, or mid-level dermis; the energy restructures and repairs your stretch marks, wrinkles, and acne scarring.

By rebuilding your skin’s support system, the surface of your skin becomes more robust, smoother, brighter, and firmer. And the results last.

Traditional Microneedling vs. RF Microneedling

Traditional microneedling uses a hand-held mechanical device with sterilized superfine disposable needle tips. The tips cause micro-injuries in your skin, which stimulates your body to produce elastin and collagen.

Some practitioners then got creative and added other solutions to the treatment, like platelet-rich plasma (Vampire facial) or serums, which allows nutrients to penetrate your skin more deeply through the various microchannels caused by the needle tips.

RF microneedling adds radiofrequency energy to the mix. You’ll get the benefits of traditional microneedling, plus additional skin tightening, more elastin, and increased collagen production with RF. We can send RF energy directly into the deep layers of your skin, which allows for faster results than traditional microneedling.

Radiofrequency Technology Defined

Radiofrequency is electrical energy. When RF technology is used in aesthetic medicine, it’s a safe and gentle way to heat the skin. If we heat your dermis to 60°C, it produces more elastin and collagen. The result? Tighter skin.

Many of the available radiofrequency technologies use bipolar polarity and monopolar polarity. With monopolar technology, a practitioner applies a ground pad to the patient. Scarlet RF technology doesn’t use a grounding pad. Instead, it uses bipolar polarity, where two electrodes conduct the energy between them.

Fractional RF Technology Advantages

Scarlet RF treatment uses Fractional RF technology to give you the most exceptional results possible with little downtime.

Our doctor will alter the number of treatment areas depending on the condition of your skin. We’ll treat small areas at a time, instead of your entire face to minimize your risk of complications and infection. That way, you’ll heal more quickly and have a shorter recovery time.

Fractional RF works on a cellular level, which allows the treatment to be as effective as surgery, but with less downtime and risks.

RF Microneedling Benefits for Darker Skin

The RF microneedling results are similar to an ablative laser treatment without the discomfort, risk of hyperpigmentation, and extended downtime. That’s great news if you have darker skin.

RF microneedling goes into the deepest skin layers to boost your elastin and collagen production. It avoids the superficial epidermis skin layer, so you’ll have minimal downtime and adverse side effects.

Traditionally, skin resurfacing treatments involved deep chemical peels and lasers. If you have darker skin, you’d be at high risk of inflammatory hyperpigmentation after these procedures.

Fractional RF microneedling eliminates these risks by delivering energy into the lower dermis skin layer where you need it most. And that means little risk of damage to your skin and quick recovery time.

Scarlet RF reduces damage to your skin’s surface, and improves the tightness and texture, especially if you have darker skin.

Advantages of Scarlet RF Microneedling Treatment

The Scarlet RF device’s conductive microneedles are precisely spaced to reduce possible adverse side effects since high-frequency treatments can cause overheating. So, you’ll have less pain in comparison to other RF microneedling devices.

When our doctor inserts the micro-needles into the deepest skin layers of your skin, it safely delivers a high amount of radiofrequency, so your skin’s surface doesn’t get damaged.

How Many Treatments Should I Get?

You should get fantastic results with three treatments. It’s best to schedule your treatments three to four weeks apart. The exact number of treatments you’ll need depends on your skin’s condition and how well you respond to the treatment.

Is Scarlet RF Microneedling Safe for Me?

Scarlet RF micro-needling is safe for you no matter your skin type since there are no known side effects.

Before Your Treatment

Avoid sun exposure, airbrush tans, and tanning beds for up to two weeks before your treatment. Don’t take any blood thinners such as fish oil, naproxen, ibuprofen, and aspirin, for a minimum of 10 days before your treatment. If you want a faster recovery, take Arnica Montana tablets one day before and one week following your session.

What to Expect During Your Procedure?

First our doctor will clean your skin and apply a powerful topical anesthetic ointment to your skin’s treatment areas to numb it. If you have a low pain tolerance, you can take an oral analgesic as well. And our doctor will recommend the best options to help you fully relax.

Don’t worry, Scarlet RF micro-needling is less painful than most other RF micro-needling treatments. The topical anesthetic needs 45 minutes to numb your treatment areas. Then, your treatment will take from 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

The micro-needles in RF Micro-needling could cause pinpoint bleeding, depending on how deep the doctor goes. Fortunately, there’s minimal bleeding, and it usually goes away quickly. After your treatment, we’ll apply a cool, soothing peptide mask to your skin.

The doctor can apply a platelet-rich fibrin treatment after your Scarlet RF micro-needling treatment to enhance your results. The blood platelets have properties that stimulate cell repair and regeneration. The platelets are injected into your skin and applied topically to the surface. The treatments work simultaneously to enhance the appearance of your skin.

Another way to boost your result is with Tensage Intensive Serum, a formula that contains growth factors that reduce your healing time, repair the skin, reduce side effects, and restore the texture, elasticity, and tone of your skin.

After your treatment, you’ll apply one ampoule a day for one week. Then you’ll use one ampoule per week for the next three weeks, preferably in the evening.

RF Microneedling Downtime

You may see redness on your skin after your treatment that will subside after 24 hours. Make sure you keep your skin clean but don’t wash it during the first 24 hours.

For two to three days, your treatment areas will feel a bit rough, but not uncomfortable. After 24 hours, you can resume your daily activities and apply make-up if you’d like.

Plan on taking it easy on the day of your treatment. Avoid social activities until 48 hours or so post-procedure.

When Will I See the Results?

The results won’t be immediate because your skin needs time to generate more elastin and collagen. Everyone heals differently, so there’s no fixed time frame. Usually, you’ll notice improvements after six to eight weeks. You’ll see noticeable results after your first treatment, but you won’t see significant results until your second session. You’ll see full results after three to six months.

How Safe is RF Microneedling?

Since the treatment avoids the superficial skin layer, this procedure is quite safe to perform. RF technology can be used on all skin types because it does not cause hyperpigmentation to people with dark skin, unlike other treatments such as deep chemical peels and lasers.

Can I Combine Other Treatments with Scarlet RF Microneedling?

You can get a Scarlet RF treatment in combination with other therapies like Dysport or BOTOX injections. Schedule them two to four weeks before you get the Scarlet RF micro-needling procedure. These injections will help reduce wrinkles by relaxing your muscles.

If you want Restylane or Juvederm filler injections, schedule them after your Scarlet RF treatment. Fillers give your face more volume and reduce wrinkles further.

If you want to inject platelets around your eyes after your Scarlet RF micro-needling treatment, it can reduce dark circles and loose skin. You should have skin tightening treatments like VZet or Ultherapy before your Scarlet RF to lift the deeper skin tissues and tighten your skin’s surface. Then, you can have Scarlet RF to tighten the dermis skin layer.

PDO Threads and Sculptra are both rejuvenation treatments that can help start the collagen production process before your Scarlet RF treatment.

If you have brown spots or sun-damaged skin, BBL or IPL treatments can help.

RF micro-needling is an advanced treatment that’s relatively new, and very few practitioners offer it.
